Recognizing that Petroleum Evaluation Engineering is a specialized field, the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineering (SPEE) is dedicated to the promotion of professional growth of the membership and to the advancement of the profession of Petroleum Evaluation Engineering by demonstrating by example the highest standard of ethics, by promoting continuing education of our membership and by education of the public in the area of oil and gas reserve definitions, reserve evaluations, and fair market value. SPEE meetings provide an excellent forum for the exchange of technical and business information that can be specifically applied in the evaluation of oil and gas properties. Dallas Chapter Meeting: Recap of 2024 Software Symposium Roadshow SUBJECT: Recap of 2024 Software Symposium Roadshow: The Automated Forecasting "Bake-Off” This presentation will highlight content from the October 2024 Software Symposium on automated DCA techniques. The 2024 Software Symposium Roadshow, hosted in October by the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers, showcased the state of automated decline curve forecasting. The event featured a 'Bake Off' where 15 vendors' automated forecasts were analyzed on a common production dataset within 12 hours. The committee is now presenting the highlights and conclusions of the Bake-Off results in a roadshow across various chapters. SPEAKERS:?Christina Hilton, P.E., SVP Accelerate Investment Partners and Lucas Smith, Gulf of Mexico Planning at Occidental Petroleum Lucas Smith and Christina Hilton serve on the SPEE Board of Directors and the Software Symposium Committee, with Lucas acting as the Committee Chair. The Committee is enthusiastic about taking a condensed version of the Symposium on a roadshow to local chapters. In addition, Lucas chairs the Internet Committee and works as a Gulf of Mexico Planning Engineer for Occidental Petroleum Company. He is an active member of the Houston Chapter of SPEE, serving in various leadership roles from 2017 to 2020, including Vice Chairman, Programs Chair and Monograph and PRMS training course coordinator. Christina currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of Engineering at Accelerate Resources. She also chairs the Marketing Committee and is a member of the Dallas Chapter.
