McLean, Virginia - May 28, 2024 – Spectrum Center, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a 6-year contract by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), to deliver a new, cloud-based Spectrum Management System (SMS). The new SMS will be based on Spectrum Center’s commercial off-the-shelf software product Spectrum-E?.?The new system will enhance the ACMA's ability to efficiently manage and regulate the radiofrequency spectrum, ensuring optimal use of this valuable resource for the benefit of all Australians. The new system will streamline and better automate processes, improve reliability, ease-of-use, improve data quality and support the growing demand for spectrum in the telecommunications, broadcasting, and other sectors. The implementation of the new system is set to commence immediately, with a projected Go Live of the new SMS and phase out of the ACMA’s legacy system scheduled for late 2025.?The contract includes options for 6 years’ worth of additional contract extensions allowing for a potential 12-year contract duration.
