It’s amazing how far we’ve come in a year. On this day in 2024, we broke ground on our 90,000-square-foot expansion for aluminum billet. We are so grateful to have the support of our community as we grow our operations to contribute even more recycled aluminum products to the supply chain.

As March Madness heats up this week, we thought we’d put a sustainable spin on the Elite Eight. ?? Which recycled aluminum product do you think deserves to make it to the Final Four? ??

As our operations grow, so does our office! Soon, Spectro team members will work in this new space to support our billet operations, customers, and suppliers. The two-story expansion will feature new workstations, a dedicated training room, and a locker room!

Aluminum scrap comes in all sorts of shapes and qualities. “Tweak” is one type we buy at Spectro Alloys, usually derived from shredding metal from used automobiles. ??

Take a peek inside our new recycling facility! Our 90,000-square-foot addition will allow us to make aluminum billet, which becomes products like railings, window and door trim, and the structural components for cars, boats and airplanes.

Throwback to Spectro in the early 2000s! We’ve come a long way since then, between our billet expansion project and other facility upgrades. We’re excited to see what the next 50 years will look like!
