He passed away last year, and this year, Carter BloodCare hosted a donation drive at my college. Although I had never donated blood before, I decided to give it a try because the thought of giving brought back fond memories and it made me feel closer to my dad. By giving back to the world as he did, I experienced the warmth of his spirit with me. I plan to continue donating throughout my lifetime, knowing that it can save lives and evoke cherished memories of my dad.

Last Friday, Ana Cruz Hollingsworth of Frisco was named to National Blood Donation Hall of Fame. She is only 1 of only 12 recognized nationwide for blood donor advocacy!
