This year’s competition brought together 8 talented student teams, including several mixed-university groups! With the theme of Working Capital Management, students competed in 3 intense rounds of The Cool Connection. It was a close race, and every team improved along the way! ?? Great Day at #STAFDA our main tradeshow for what we do. Like many industries there has been a lot of consolidation on both sides, brands and distributors, so naturally less people. Why focus on how many thousands of people and if attendance is up or down what %? Focus on who is there, and what you can do in that very limited 2 days to increase your business 10%, 20%, 30% next year. Guaranteed there are the right partners in the room to get you there! I had the incredible opportunity to attend the 2024 STAFDA Convention and Trade Show in Nashville, Tennessee! I attended motivating educational workshops, listened to professionals who expanded my knowledge of the construction/industrial supply chain industry, and more. A highlight from this event was winning second place alongside Phuong Nguyen, Henry Doskocil, Joshua Harwood, and Bernadette Danek in the student supply chain competition! Using The Cool Connection simulation, we were able to save a struggling business through collaboration and critical thinking. My finance role deepened my understanding of how financial decisions impact business operations.
