Alicia Liddle and Shelia Grant Join SPARC’s Board to Help Guide Growth of Northern Virginia Nonprofit Focused on People with Severe Disabilities ? Alicia Liddle with Northwest Federal Credit Union and Shelia Grant with Fairfax County Sheriff's Office have joined the board of directors for SPARC, a non-profit that provides day programs for Northern Virginia adults with severe and multiple disabilities. “We are excited to have Alicia and Shelia join our board. Both bring a wealth of experience that will be invaluable in helping serve people in our community with severe disabilities who are forgotten--often languishing at home. I look forward to working with them as we expand and shape SPARC’s future to ensure more opportunities exist for those we serve,” explained Debi Alexander, Executive Director, SPARC. Alicia?Liddle is passionate about building meaningful relationships, enhancing community engagement, and supporting the growth of local businesses. She currently serves as a relationship manager for Northwest Federal Credit Union’s Company Partnership Program where she focuses on building strategic partnerships and enhancing member experiences. Prior to that,?Liddle?was the director of Member Engagement, Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce. She started her career as a teacher with Fairfax County Public Schools. Liddle?also served on the Board of Directors for Gabriel Homes Inc. for several years. Shelia Grant has deep experience in health management and expertise in trauma-informed care. Currently, she serves as director, Correctional Health and Human Services/Medical Branch, Fairfax County Sheriff's Office/Adult Detention Center, where she is responsible for management the medical branch and all health and human services of the organization. Prior to this, she was chief of the medical services branch at the Sheriff’s Office, overseeing the provision of all medical services needed by Detention Center patients. ?She is active in the community and a graduate of Leadership Fairfax.

SPARC ~ Herndon had a day filled with enchantment! Friends from SPARC gathered with the seniors for an exciting day of magical experiences. The advantages of intergenerational programming are numerous, and activities like these highlight the importance of operating in shared spaces like community centers. We are immensely thankful for this partnership!

It is official! SPARC ~ Alexandria will open it's doors on October 14! We are deeply grateful to Senator Mark R Warner and Senator Tim Kaine for providing the funding to launch this center serving the route one corridor. Eternally grateful to Rodney Lusk and Lloyd Tucker, Director Fairfax County Government Neighborhood and Community Services for providing the space!
