Defending the Least of us! This Newsletter is about those who have no voice and are being threatened by the Department of Labor. Adults with significant special needs, have a right to employment. Their employment, made possible by a 1938 waiver to labor law, known as “paragraph 14(c)”, is under assault; there is a fervent effort to end the waiver, before the end of the current administration. January 17th is the deadline for the public to submit comments on the action. Please Help! - https://lnkd.in/gQANbYd6

Autism "Acceptance Month" - Really? - The purpose of this newsletter is to discuss what Autism "Acceptance" really means. The word "acceptance" hinders and harms those looking for answers. Today, 1 in 36 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with autism. A child who has autism and an intellectual disability equals lifetime care costs of $2.4 million. A child with just Autism equals $1.4 million in lifetime care costs. Autism will cost the United States one trillion dollars by 2025. https://lnkd.in/ggvbhGdV
