Today, we say goodbye to U.S. Department of State Office of Global Food Security Senior Policy Advisor Ben Muskovitz.?Ben has spent over 30 years in the federal government in support of international food assistance and food security programs while working in USDA, and the State Department.?We wish him all the best in the next chapter of his life.

Today, we bid farewell to U.S. Department of State Global Food Security Deputy Special Envoy Anna Merrall Nelson – an inspiring leader who moved mountains in support of U.S. food security priorities. We thank Anna for her 15 years of federal service and wish her the best on her future.

ICYMI, last week Secretary Rubio met with Republic of Korea Foreign Minister Cho to discuss how closer U.S.-ROK cooperation can make our two countries safer and more prosperous and address challenges in the Indo-Pacific region, including the DPRK. The U.S.-ROK Alliance strengthens American security and prosperity.

Data-led decisions lead to more cost-efficient, smarter agricultural practices. For example, data-led decisions help improve soil health management, and inform when and where to fertilize farms. They can lead to improved practices that maximize crop yields, feeding more people.

Yesterday, we welcomed Secretary of State Rubio to the Harry S. Truman Building, our 72nd Secretary of State and first Cuban American to hold the position.?U.S. Department of State

Friday is going to be my last day as the Special Envoy for Global Food Security at the U.S. Department of State.
