If you've recently purchased a bag of avocados at Costco or your local supermarket, you've likely experienced some sticker shock. The average price for a 5-count bag is now between $8.99 and $10.99, or even higher. However, there may be some relief in sight for your beloved avocado toast. Thanks to changes in supply and increased production in California, prices might soon stabilize. "Supply and demand are in sync, quality is looking good, and the current size curve suggests a lot of opportunities for small and medium fruit," said Galen Johnson, senior director of sales. #california #avocadoes #supplychain #grocerynews

We had the opportunity yesterday to present SPECCX to a dozen Middle Tennessee farmers at the Rileys Farm in Adams, TN yesterday. Many in the group have predominantly grown tobacco and are looking to diversity with specialty crops. It is our hope SPECCX can help them reach untapped markets and leverage spot/forward contracts to grow their businesses. Special thanks to Phillip Head and the Riley's for organizing and hosting this event. Warm appreciations to Louis Buck who helped with the presentation and toured us through Adams entertaining us with stories about the Bell Witch. Everybody loves a John Deere tractor!
