On February 8th, the SPE UND Student Chapter proudly participated in the annual FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Championship, where young innovators from across the state showcased their talents and advanced reasoning in robotics and engineering. This event serves as a crucial building block in shaping the next generation of engineers, and we were honored to volunteer and contribute to their inspiring journey.
The FLL teams were judged based on:
1️⃣ Core Values: Promoting teamwork, friendly competition, and mutual support.
2️⃣ Project: Researching real-world problems and presenting innovative solutions.
3️⃣ Robot Design: Answering questions about their design approach.
4️⃣ Field Challenge: Programming robots to complete missions in 2½-minute matches.
We were also delighted to have the esteemed Dr. Ryan Adams, Dean of the College of Engineering and Mines, join us for the occasion alongside Andrew Dahlen and Gwen Klawon
Volunteering at this event reflects our chapter's dedication to fostering STEM education and inspiring the engineers of tomorrow. 💡✨
