Deep in the weeds here at Spe Forti Group [SFG]. We had our second touch point with our internal client today, the Director of the CEDE program at The Busch School of Business. Today we learned how to dive into the business school's strategic plan while conversing with the client about alignment, target markets, value overlap, and a CRM (customer relationship management) approach with prospective students and current students here at The Catholic University of America. A question that surfaced in our meeting: "is it possible that part of the value offered in an education here can be found in the unique community of accomplished professionals and scholars who are totally invested in the success of their students?" We had a large team discussion for our client engagement that revealed intriguing insights into what makes The Busch School of Business stand out for prospective teens who ultimately choose to come here: * A strong sense of community * People connections with faculty and students already at #CatholicU * Feeling of belonging and "home" * Admiration for the campus's natural beauty * Opportunities for a balanced lifestyle, including athletics * Monetary value * Accessible location in a city that matters CEDE, a Catholic Entrepreneurship and Design experience for teens, was developed at The Catholic University of America by the Ciocca Center for Principled Entrepreneurship. The CEDE director is Spe Forti Group's client this semester, and one of the goals to show participants that they can continue their venture at the Busch School of Business. We had an in-depth discussion about some prework that we need to do before our next lab session. Key topics included: * Mining the data shared by our client on why applicants are drawn to CEDE * Self-reflection on the unique factors that attract teens to our school compared to other alternatives * Ensuring strategic alignment of the CEDE program with the Business School's vision We’re excited to continue this journey and further enrich our students' experience! ?? ECHO-1 Team Showcases Exceptional Initiative ?? Last fall (2024), our client, the Sustainability Office at Catholic University asked the Spe Forti Group [SFG] for assistance with their effort to reduce water and energy consumption in university dormitories. One thing they wanted help with was refreshing their blog page on best practices. Team ECHO-1 took on the task of prototyping an update to reflect the university's commitment to sustainable living. ?? Here’s what the client needed for that deliverable: 1. Data Insights: Integrate findings on water and energy consumption in dorms. 2. Visual Appeal: Update splash images to highlight sustainable behavior. 3. Relevant pictures/graphics throughout the site to enhance readability. 4. Improved Format: Reorganize content into three main categories for better engagement: a) Water Conservation; b) Energy Conservation and c) Lifestyles ECHO-1 team demonstrated outstanding initiative in our recent project. Here's what they accomplished: 1. Data Collection & Analysis: Gathered and analyzed valuable data on water and energy consumption, collaborating with 10 other teams to share data on 100% of the dorms. 2. Enhanced Visuals: Conducted photo shoots to enrich the client's collection of relevant images. 3. Innovative Prototyping: Explored a free website program to create a prototype and demo it for the client. All materials were generously made available to our client at no cost. Spe Forti Group students also gain hands-on experience creating 5-minute video walkthroughs of their work, providing clients with a detailed preview before assessment. The Sustainability Office at The Catholic University of America asked the Spe Forti Group [SFG] to help increase conservation behaviors around energy and water consumption in dormitories. The client requested a selection of infographics for both social media and physical spaces, along with an RA packet featuring key talking points. ECHO-2 delved into university branding and the concept of #stigmergy to craft striking visuals for an action-trace feedback loop. Below are some highlights from their great work. Kudos to the ECHO-2 team! ??Erin Gardner Carla Isaac Peter Chamoun James McAuley Mudiaga Jagha #Sustainability #Conservation #HigherEd #EcoFriendly #CatholicU RA packet: https://lnkd.in/eFxs-AbG

We love our entrepreneurs at The Busch School of Business! Try some authentic gelato from La Marmotta as a Thanksgiving dessert this year! More in the post below.
We have many wonderful entrepreneurs at our Ciocca Center for Principled Entrepreneurship. Francesco Brown is one such entrepreneur. He owns La Marmotta, which is dedicated to employing people with disabilities and providing the DMV area with authentic gelato. We've often enjoyed his delicious desserts here at our school, through Francesco's generosity. La Marmotta is having a Thanksgiving sale, which can be accessed through the QR code. Check out their story here. Enjoy! #buschschool #forceforgood #catholiclife https://lnkd.in/eyxrdtBB The views expressed here do not represent the views of The Catholic University of America.

In an unprecedented collaboration between Spe Forti Group and the Sustainability Office at The Catholic University of America, eleven teams of #buschschool students collected water and energy usage samples from 100% of the dorms on campus in an effort to study ways to conserve these resources. They delivered a situation analysis, data analytics, and a?5-minute video walkthrough of their methodologies. Today was their first client touch point. One standout team, CHARLIE-1, developed a water usage calculation method so effective that the client requested it be replicated across all teams. To facilitate this, CHARLIE-1 will produce a one-page guide and a 5-minute tutorial video. They will lead a mini-lab session using a hybrid platform to help ensure consistency in replication, with recordings available for other cohorts. Additionally, DELTA-3, DELTA-4, and ECHO-1 teams uncovered two prevalent myths: Students believe their actions can't impact conservation efforts. Tuition and fees justify excessive resource usage, like water and energy. Deliverables will include strategies to debunk these myths and enhance the communication campaign’s impact. The client also expressed interest in ECHO-3's insight that campus norms need to change, and asked them to develop that in their thought leadership piece. More soon!
