San José State University is fortunate to have you, David Poirier, MBA. We deeply appreciate the impactful initiatives you’ve introduced to our school. Thank you as well for providing our club members with the incredible opportunity to participate in company tours. We look forward for future collaboration!
Working with the Lucas College and Graduate School of Business at SJSU and the SJSU Career Center this semester has been one of the most challenging, but rewarding experiences I've ever had. I got to lead workshops, collaborate on career treks, and build career experiences for students. Outside of work I spent all of my weekends and weeknights applying to 13 different doctorate programs while continuing to do academic research in the fields of management, human resources, and educational practice. The best part about this semester and every semester has always been working with the students and student leaders. I'm beyond impressed by the incredible leadership of SJSU LILAC's Alexandra Phan, Shambhavi S., Charvi Choudhary, and Kim Nguyen. You all did such a great job building this collaboration. These queens are some of the best leaders I've had the privilege to work with. I'm so proud of my mentee, Dylan Chang for building the LinkedIn consulting program with the SJSU Marketing Association. You're really showing incredible leadership and ability to take initiative. I loved working with Tarun Subramanian and Sakshi Thakral from the Management Information Systems Association at SJSU. Your club is very determined and shows a lot of grit. Thanks for letting me host your interview workshop. Also, congrats to Sean Malani on landing your new marketing internship! Huge shoutout to Lamia Ye and and Joshua Dzvonik for Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP?). You two are really making strides in the hospitality field. You've taught me some valuable lessons on management practice so I appreciate that. Thank you to Angela Henshall and Michelle Minh Nguyen for giving me the opportunity to be a supporter and facilitator in IMA SJSU. I'm glad to see that the future of accountants is in good hands. It was my honor to work with SJSU Women in Business and SHRM at SJSU to host the women's empowerment career trek at ASML. These two student orgs do such a great job of breaking glass ceilings and empowering others. I could go on forever, but for now I'd like to give a shoutout to SJSU GBSA , ALPFA Inc - Association of Latino Professionals For America Black Business Student Association (BBSA)- San Jose State University , Spartan Analytics, and the Latino Business Student Association - San Jose State University. I can't wait to keep working with industry executives like René Siegel ????♀?, Brad Maihack, and Scott Daugherty as I head into my doctorate program and tackle new initiatives for innovation. As I continue to work with successful alumni such as Erinne Arias, Keith Hertzberg, and Vinson Vu in developing the LCoB Young Alumni Board I know the future is bright at SJSU. Thank you to Rangapriya (Priya) Kannan, Meghna Virick, David Czerwinski, Gretchen Vogelgesang Lester, Ph.D., and Monica C. Gavino, Ph.D., MBA for your continued guidance in my career endeavors.
