We’re thrilled to announce a global partnership and investment from Honeywell, one of the largest utility digital solution providers in the world. ?? Under this partnership, SparkMeter is deepening its footprint across frontier markets to enhance grid reliability and efficiency and advance into the next era of smart utility management with mid-sized US utilities. “Due to the lack of visibility into existing grid performance in many parts of the world, disadvantaged and rural areas often struggle with unreliable or inadequate electricity,” our CEO Daniel Schnitzer said. “Our goal is to enable greater grid resilience by partnering with leaders like Honeywell Smart Energy to bring our plug-and-play grid management technology to address the needs of utilities in all markets.” More on how we’re future-proofing grids across the globe to accelerate the energy transition: https://lnkd.in/dFjeShac

We make it possible for utilities in developing markets to bring electricity to the 3.5Bn people without reliable access
关于我们
SparkMeter offers comprehensive low-cost metering solutions for everything from rural micro-grids to existing urban central grid utilities. Our products help make access to electricity possible in hard-to-reach places and underserved markets. Our metering system is being widely adopted by utilities serving customers in rural parts of Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Latin America and the Caribbean. We believe electricity and the services derived from it unlock and create the opportunity for underserved communities to achieve great things. As a main driver of economic growth and human development, we’ve seen time and time again how access to clean, reliable, electricity transforms people’s lives.

As SparkMeter Sr. Commercial Director Chanel Gisage states in an interview with African Energy, “Renewables are becoming a lifeline for African utilities.” While many communities in Africa lack the resources to modernize their grid, SparkMeter is empowering utilities in Somalia, Kenya, Zambia, and more, to shortcut energy losses, improve data collection, and integrate renewables into the grid. With a new administration entering the White House in January, SparkMeter CEO Daniel Schnitzer shares what he hopes the new presidency will do to support U.S. companies. According to Dan, federal incentives and grants are crucial to commercializing cleantech technologies, which subsequently, supports the growth of the economy. The combination of public and private sector financing is key to de-risking new technologies, and without that, Dan says, “You’re going to have less innovation — and, of course, we know America is really the No. 1 innovation economy in the world. That is our competitive strength.” Hear how other DMV leaders are preparing for the new administration via Washington Business Journal:? https://lnkd.in/eVn-5U9h

A few moments from the Global Off-Grid Solar Forum & Expo 2024 #GOGSFE24 in Nairobi where SparkMeter Global Commercial Leader Chanel Gisage joined policymakers, investors, and innovators to drive action to enable universal electricity access and power climate resilience. Strategic collaboration among key stakeholders is essential to move from achieving energy access to ensuring sustained, long-term energy access. While the sector is rightly focused on policy and finance, there needs to be a stronger emphasis on project quality and the reliability of power and service delivery. SparkMeter remains committed to partnering with stakeholders to provide reliable production and end-user data, helping to close the loop and drive continuous improvement in energy solutions. Honored to collaborate with our partners to bring energy access to the hardest-to-reach communities in Africa. More on the conference: https://lnkd.in/duBcvyG
