With a new administration entering the White House in January, SparkMeter CEO Daniel Schnitzer shares what he hopes the new presidency will do to support U.S. companies. According to Dan, federal incentives and grants are crucial to commercializing cleantech technologies, which subsequently, supports the growth of the economy. The combination of public and private sector financing is key to de-risking new technologies, and without that, Dan says, “You’re going to have less innovation — and, of course, we know America is really the No. 1 innovation economy in the world. Working with the Rural Electrification Authority Zambia and ENGIE Energy Access (Africa), SparkMeter supports solar mini grids to bring power to over 350 homes in Zambia’s Eastern Province. ?? In North-Western Zambia, our partnership with electric utility Zengamina Power, a project of Anzana Electric Group (formerly Virunga Power), provides renewable power to rural communities and adds renewable generation to reach thousands of residents.
