What’s your wellness prescription? Although our public event season has ended as of September, PureSpark continues to stay active on the private side. This weekend we hosted our first private event at a housing development in Roxbury and it was a truly beautiful experience. You may have heard of our signature event called “The Plug” that we hosted for the first time last year at the Museum of Science (stay tuned for the next one). Did you know that we also host these events on a private level? Well now you know. “The Plug”?? was a concept that was created out of a name that was given to me by community members. Oftentimes people would reach out to me individually to ask about where they can find support for themselves, their family members and or friends. Word spread quickly thanks to a post that got reshared on FaceBook by business owner and radio show host Danielle Johnson (Spark FM Online). I slowly started to become known as the point person for black Wellness in Boston. I became affectionately known as “The Plug”. And so, I created this event as a homage to my beloved community.
