Another standard product is hitting the store at Sparc. We are now #3Dprinting 90 degree V-Blocks. They can be printed in any size, but our standard is 3" OAL, 2" OAW, and 2" OAH. We have started to sell 3D printed V groove vise jaws in our store. These jaws are stronger than 6061 T6 Aluminum, contain continuous strand carbon fiber, and are cheaper than what you might find on popular tooling websites. With our #3Dprinting capabilities we wanted to test the difference in weight of a part we recently manufactured for our customer. This product was produced with subtractive machining on our mill and made out of aluminum. We then printed the exact same part on our Markforged FX10 with 40% continuous strand carbon fiber, making it stronger than 6061 T6 aluminum. The difference was astounding! 55 grams vs 12 grams For this particular instance, printing the part wouldn't make sense due to the application. That being said, the application for brackets, braces, and flanges is phenomenal in #aerospace and #motorsports industries.
