We are thrilled to introduce Brenda Parnell, our new Chief Financial Officer, who joined our team at the beginning of the month. Brenda is a patient-focused individual with extensive experience in healthcare finance and administration, spanning over 25 years. Her background includes working with critical access hospitals, rural health clinics, federally qualified health centers, sole community hospitals, assisted living, and nursing home facilities. Brenda holds an MBA in Healthcare Administration from the University of Colorado-Denver and is actively involved in the regional Southwest Alliance for Excellence Board as a Rotarian. She is also an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys both summer and winter sports, making her a perfect fit for Spanish Peaks Country, where she can savor the beautiful outdoors in our community.

Dreams Do Come True, says Lola Spradley, setting the tone for today's Ribbon Cutting at Washington School. The new home of CSU Pueblo Nursing Program Satellite in Walsenburg is now a reality with its first cohort of students starting this semester.

"On July 8, the lobby of the Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center was a celebration of that dream becoming reality. A healthy turnout of soon to be college students attended the CSU Pueblo recruitment and enrollment event. But they would not be attending classes in Pueblo. These students will attend classes locally at the new CSU Pueblo Spanish Peaks campus, to be located in the former Washington School located in Walsenburg." https://lnkd.in/dTkH3xUq
