Holi Pi Day! Holi, the exciting festival of colors, love, and spring is being celebrated on the annual Pi-day, bringing the day that celebrates the mathematical constant to a full colorful circle this year. A day like this invokes an image like our logo, not just what it looks like but also what it stands for. Spanios was founded as a labor of love to accelerate targeted therapies for cancers enabled by a unique tumoroid platform that has constantly evolved to meet the evolving needs of oncological research. The colors of our logo represent cancer indications supported by our platform. While our focus has expanded and our vision has grown exponentially, our mission to never forget the rare and difficult to treat cancers remains steadfast. Our logo reminds us of the 57 cancers, that have a color representation, while symbolically holding place for the 143 that have neither a color designated nor pathway to targeted therapies, yet. A large number of women's cancers have no good therapeutic models or modalities of treatment. Last year at Spanios we made a push towards developing models for Women's cancers to help provide drug testing options for novel and repositioned drugs. To make a significant dent on this daunting area of unmet need, Spanios partnered with Yatiri Bio Inc. to develop a comprehensive identification of #OvarianCancer therapeutics. We’re excited to share our case study for Spanios! Our concept aimed to create the feeling of looking inside a well filled with cells and tumoroids. This work highlights key physiological mechanisms, contributing to ethical research in immuno-oncology. In addition to developing fully animated models of tumoroids, we also designed artwork for their exhibition booth at a conference in San Diego.
