Our Fall 2024 Lead United class has officially graduated ??? This incredible group of leaders is equipped and ready to create change in the Tri-County community! Graduates participated in six weekly sessions led by community and nonprofit leaders to develop the skills and knowledge to serve on a nonprofit board of directors. Congratulations to Brooke Chhina (TUW), Christina Elmore (Motley Rice), Kiena Evans-Palmer (Roper St. Francis Healthcare), Emily Hagen (Shem Creek Inn/Charlestowne Hotels), Jason McMichael (Ingevity), Leah Rhyne (TUW), Jennifer Salegna (Raines), Michelle Vehorn (BlueChoice Health Plan), Olivia Vernon (Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce), LaQuinta West (Dorchester Seniors, Inc.) and Megan Yaeger, CPA (Elliott Davis) ?? During the final session, participants had the opportunity to learn from a panel of nonprofit leaders and board members with Deborah Freel (Tri-County S.P.E.A.K.S.), Melanie G. Stith, JD, SPHR, CHHR (Culture Wins), Nina Cano (Cano Law, LLC and Spanglish Consulting) and Michael Samuel (SouthState Bank and MikeSamFitness). Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Bryan Derreberry and TUW President & CEO David Hampton II, JD addressed the graduates, sharing words of inspiration and gratitude for the participants and their dedication to improving our community.
