We’re excited to introduce this month’s Employee Spotlight—a woman all of us at Spalding know and appreciate—Glenda! This month, she’s celebrating 20 years at Spalding, a milestone that reflects her dedication and the positive impact she’s had on so many of us. As our HR Manager and Corporate FSO, she wears many shoes—and with her well-known love for footwear, she certainly knows how to step up to any challenge! Glenda’s favorite part of her job is building strong relationships and creating a workplace where employees feel valued. Her advice for those starting their careers? Focus on your skills, never be afraid to ask for help, and always maintain a healthy work-life balance. Outside of work, Glenda is an avid line dancer and a longtime member of the Boot Scooters, a group that has performed at fairs, car shows, and charity events—even appearing on TNN’s Club Dance in the late ‘90s! While she doesn’t travel much—partly because of her love for her dogs—she wouldn't pass up the chance to go somewhere with soft sand and blue waters. One of her favorite trips was to Siesta Key, where the nearly pure quartz sand stayed cool even in the heat. Glenda is a big Elton John fan, has a well-known shoe obsession ??, and if she could have a superpower, it would be the ability to communicate with dogs. And though she once dreamed of being a teacher, in many ways, she’s fulfilled that role—mentoring employees, guiding new professionals, and helping Spalding thrive.
