The Joint Commercial Operations cell hosted members of the Defence Australia for a familiarization visit at the Catalyst Campus in Colorado Springs, Colo. Sept. 10, 2024. The visit consisted of a tour of the operations floor, review of mission sets, space operations tools, and commercial data integration into Joint, Multi-national and DoD space operations.? ? The JCO uses a “buy” and “exploit” model to capitalize on current, relevant non-classified data from a variety of commercial companies that better enables space operators to receive real-time warning and indications. The Republic of Korea Ministry of National Defense hosted a joint signing ceremony of the ROK Letter of Intent to join U.S. Space Forces – Space Joint Commercial Operations in Seoul, Korea, Sept. 11, 2024. ? Once a full contingent of operators has been trained, the ROK plans to establish a JCO-KOR National Cell co-located with the Space Operations Center at Osan AB. ? The JCO provides timely and accurate identification, analysis and warning of potential counterspace activity by leveraging industry and allied capabilities at the non-classified level to enable maximum distribution and collaboration in support of operational and strategic objectives. Currently, the JCO has over a dozen fully on-boarded countries helping to collect and analyze commercial space data 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, and look forward to the ROK’s participation in the JCO Pacific cell in the future. #AlliesAndPartners #ProtectDefendDeliverConnect U.S. Space Command

This week partner nations from 24 countries gathered in person and online at Vandenberg Space Force Base for the Global Sentinel 25 Initial Planning Conference. Global Sentinel is U.S. Space Command’s premier security cooperation effort designed to strengthen and grow international partnerships, improve operational collaboration and promote responsible behavior in the space domain.? ? This IPC was in preparation for the GS25 capstone event projected to take place April and May of 2025. Leaders from the National Space Defense Center hosted professional staff members from the United States Senate Select Committee on Intelligence at Schriever Space Force Base, Colo., Sept. 4, 2024. Staff members received an NSDC mission brief that will aid staff members conducting oversight responsibilities on National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and other United States Department of Defense entities associated with the SSCI. The NSDC directly supports space defense unity of effort and expands information sharing in space defense operations among the DoD, NRO, and other interagency partners.
