A whirlwind trip through TX last week to see all the amazing work being done across the state. On Monday, I was able to connect with SFA Texas, Houston Satellite President, Brian Creighton and were able to meet with Jack Fischer who gave us a tour of the Intuitive Machines headquarters as they get ready to launch Athena. Tuesday provided an opportunity to connect with the USSF Jr ROTC detachment in Houston where I had the opportunity to connect with leadership and students about the projects they are working on. Modi Ramos and Eric McManus with SFA Midland hosted a luncheon for community leaders to learn more about the United States Space Force and discuss all Midland International Air & Space Port planning efforts to establish the first inland commercial VTOL site and high-speed corridor for hypersonic testing. The Capital Factory hosted a Space Academy event on Friday to hear from industry, government and non-government entities who are pushing the TX space ecosystem forward. It was an honor to speak about what the Space Force Association is working on at the national, international and local level. I foresee an Austin Satellite (chapter) developing in the near future. The week culminated on Saturday at The University of Texas at Austin National Defense in Space Summit where USSF senior leaders spoke about key initiatives happening within the service, to include Maj Gen Stephen Purdy. Connecting with ROTC students who are passionate about the service and excited about the future is always inspiring. A special shoutout to Jason Kim who provided additional details on the plans Firefly Aerospace has for the future. Look forward to an interview with him on an upcoming Spacepower Podcast episode. Congratulations on all the work you're doing. Thanks to all the SFA staff and volunteers who make this the best non-profit with a singular focus on ensuring our USSF has the resources it needs to accomplish its spacepower mission. #sempersupra

Last Wednesday, SFA Midland hosted the first-ever Space Luncheon at the Midland Petroleum Club. We want to give a special "thank you" to SFA President and CEO Bill Woolf, Deputy Inspector General for Space, USSF Col. Kyle Pumroy, and SFA Texas Chapter President Eric McManus for speaking at the event. Additionally, we'd like to thank the many in attendance who made this event a truly special occasion.
