Investing in essential technologies that power the world's largest industries.
关于我们
Space Capital is a seed-stage venture capital firm specializing in space-based technologies and their applications, i.e. the essential technologies that power the world's largest industries today. We understand the space economy at a fundamentally deeper level than our peers: our partners have built rockets, satellites, and operating systems. We have founded companies with assets currently in orbit and have led multiple exits as founders/operators (the latest was a $500M sale to Google). We've been pioneering investment in this category for 10+ years and now we've literally written the book on the subject with The Space Economy, published by Wiley.

Space debris presents one of the greatest challenges to modern space exploration, and SC funded LeoLabs is at the forefront of mitigating these risks. Tracking over 20,000 objects in low Earth orbit (LEO), LeoLabs combines advanced radar and AI tools to predict collisions and notify satellite operators of imminent threats. Darren McKnight, Senior Technical Fellow at LeoLabs, warns that space debris, including ghost rocket stages and ASAT fragments, are “a ticking time bomb” for human spaceflight and satellite constellations. LeoLabs is actively supporting global efforts, including the ORBITS Act, to remove the most dangerous space objects and ensure the safety of future space missions.
