LeoLabs had an exceptional year in 2024, achieving record bookings by securing over $50M in contracts and nearly 140% year-over-year revenue growth. Focused on enhancing Space Domain Awareness, LeoLabs has advanced its AI-driven threat analysis capabilities and rapidly deployed its 11th next-generation Ultra High Frequency radar in Arizona - built in under five months and currently tracking 10,000 space objects. In addition, the company secured a second AFWERX SBIR award to develop a next-generation S-Band radar system for early 2025. LeoLabs’ strategic partnership with NOAA’s Office of Space Commerce on the TraCSS Consolidated Pathfinder demonstrated that commercial capabilities deliver up to 84% of the STM mission traditionally executed by the U.S. Government. As Low Earth Orbit becomes increasingly congested, SC funded LeoLabs continues to set the industry standard in Orbital Intelligence and Space Traffic Management through an expanding Global Radar Network and cutting-edge AI-powered analytic tools. Investing in essential technologies that power the world's largest industries.
关于我们
Space Capital is a seed-stage venture capital firm specializing in space-based technologies and their applications, i.e. the essential technologies that power the world's largest industries today. We understand the space economy at a fundamentally deeper level than our peers: our partners have built rockets, satellites, and operating systems. We have founded companies with assets currently in orbit and have led multiple exits as founders/operators (the latest was a $500M sale to Google). We've been pioneering investment in this category for 10+ years and now we've literally written the book on the subject with The Space Economy, published by Wiley.

The process of accessing commercial satellite imagery has long been complex—navigating multiple provider portals, negotiating contracts, and dealing with varied pricing structures. SC funded SkyWatch and Esri recently launched Content Store for ArcGIS, streamlining how users discover, purchase, and integrate high-resolution satellite imagery into their workflows. By providing a central destination for ordering imagery from leading providers like Maxar Technologies and Airbus, ArcGIS users can now seamlessly enhance visualization, analysis, and decision-making for projects ranging from urban planning to environmental monitoring. Learn how SkyWatch’s latest innovation is transforming access to commercial satellite data. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eat9zD55

Space is getting more crowded, and rapid satellite deployments present new challenges for tracking and collision avoidance. To address this, Kayhan Space, LeoLabs, and AST SpaceMobile have demonstrated a groundbreaking capability that significantly reduces the time it takes for the United States Space Force to track newly launched satellites. During SpaceX’s Bluebird Block 1 mission, these companies collaborated to reduce the COLA (collision avoidance) gap—the time lag between satellite deployment and reliable tracking. Traditionally, it can take the Space Force months to catalog new satellites. This demonstration cut that time down to just one week, providing faster, more precise satellite tracking and improved space situational awareness. ?? LeoLabs: Provided radar-based tracking of deployed satellites ?? AST SpaceMobile: Collected GPS tracking data from satellites ?? Kayhan Space: Used advanced software to refine tracking and collision avoidance This collaboration highlights the critical role of commercial space firms in enhancing national security and ensuring a safer, more efficient space environment. GHGSAT has achieved a significant milestone by becoming a Copernicus Contributing Mission partner. This partnership integrates GHGSat’s high-resolution methane emissions data into the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) framework. Specifically, GHGSat’s satellites deliver precise, facility-level methane measurements that, when combined with TROPOMI data from Sentinel-5P, create a comprehensive “tip and cue” monitoring approach. This method enables detailed identification of methane emission sources, thereby enhancing global atmospheric monitoring and greenhouse gas mitigation efforts. Originally solidifying its relationship with ESA and the Canadian Space Agency in 2019, GHGSat continues to lead in the field of remote sensing, contributing critical data for both research and operational purposes.
