The #SPACE4GEOAlliance Partner SpaceShip Foundation and its Strategic Partner ICEYE invite young people from secondary schools from all over Poland to participate in the "Cosmic Challenge: Pathfinder/ Security". ?? ?? "Cosmic Challenge" is an educational program aimed at children and young people interested in the subject of #space. The edition of "Cosmic Challenge: Pathfinder/ Security" is aimed at students from secondary schools from all over Poland and is implemented in Strategic Partnership with ICEYE - a world leader in the field of #satellite radar data, using #SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) technology. The challenge aims to develop interdisciplinary #education and encourage the development of space interests. ?? The prize in this edition of the program will be a trip for the winning team to the ICEYE headquarters in Espoo, Finland. Teams that take 1-3 places will be additionally invited to the Polish branch of ICEYE, located in Warsaw. As part of the first stage of this edition of the program, teams interested in participating in the program (consisting of two participants - secondary school students) + one adult Mentor, will have to prepare a written paper on "Increasing public safety through the use of satellite data". ?? Papers in the first stage can be submitted between: 01.02.2025 - 20.03.2025. ?? The main goals of the Competition are: 1. Promotion of STEM education. 2. Integration of knowledge about space with mathematical and natural science subjects. 3. Development of creativity and innovation among children and young people. 4. Promotion of practical use of knowledge integrating different areas/subjects. 5. Development of skills in solving complex problems. Two of the many goals of SPACE4GEO and its flagship project SpaceSUITE are to facilitate the task of awakening STEAM vocations and support those involved in promotion efforts so they can incorporate gender, diversity, and social impact dimensions into their STEAM vocation promotion activities. ???
