?? You can now read our Deliverable 2.4 – Preparation Phase and OMC Report here: https://lnkd.in/dzg-i3FU Here are some of the highlights of the report: ? In a nutshell, the respondents to the SPACE4Cities Supplier Survey, master software development, Earth Observation, AI, and geospatial technologies. Many are already utilising Copernicus data (mostly Sentinel data, as well as CAMS, CEMS, C3S, CLMS, and CMEMS) and exploring the potential of Galileo. ? To create urban solutions, they also fuse space data with a wide range of other data sources like aerial photography, in-situ measurements like air and noise pollution sensors, CO2 sensors, and sensors for water monitoring and parking, as well as with data from drones, and other satellites. ? According to respondents, innovative data fusion with space data encompasses aerial data, drone data, real-time traffic data, crowdsourcing data, mobile phone locations and IoT sensors like ‘phenocams’. Thermal imagery and LiDAR technologies are said to bring innovation. Respondents also consider to fuse these data sources in real time and/or in digital twins, BIM or 3D models, and stress the need for predictive analytics and scenario modeling. ? To process data, respondents foresee innovation in combining new data sources and algorithms, using compact AI (i.e., without cloud data centers) and geospatial AI (GeoAI). Lastly, they underline the innovative potential of cost-effective solutions, gamification and managing large-scale datasets while preserving privacy. SPACE4Cities will attend the SCO | Space for Climate Observatory France Congress on 20 March 2025, at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in Paris. ?? Echoing to SPACE4Cities’ Challenges, adaptation strategies will be at the heart of the discussions, especially in cities. The Congress also aims to showcase and promote the role of public-private partnerships, just like SPACE4Cities’ pre-commercial procurement. ?? Expected highlights include: round tables and high-level discussions on climate and space policies, and on the role of businesses for innovative climate services; demonstrations of project results; presentation of the next batch of awarded projects.
