Nothing is more inspiring than spending your Friday evening at the NYC Resistor, one of the oldest hacker collectives in the country, with leading STEAM/aerospace educators across NYC in celebration of #WorldSpaceWeek! From speaking on founding IgnitedThinkers and our current initiatives, doing a small focus-group discussion on ways to collaborate to amplify our impact in NYC effectively, and discussing unique perspectives on intertwining space exploration and sustainability, I had a blast connecting with these exceptionally talented changemakers (some of whom include Carolina Castro, Nate Cooper, Luis Fernando Laca, Anna Paolucci) and reconnecting with my #spacesister Kim Macharia! I can't wait to continue integrating this year's theme for World Space Week 2024, "Space and Climate Change," with our outreach endeavors and highlighting the importance of space technology and exploration in addressing climate change!
