You’ve all heard about satellites, but not everyone knows that they orbit at different altitudes. Most of them operate on LEO (around 400 km above the Earth’s surface). Today, Marat Airapetian , co-founder of Space Ambition , published an article discussing the significance of promising new orbits like VLEO (180–300 km above the Earth’s surface). In his article, he explains why these orbits will become commercially viable within the next 10 years and why it was previously impossible to launch satellites into these orbits.
