It started with one informal zoom call every Sunday with 20 girls from all over the world at Society Of Women Coders who wanted more, who wanted to be leaders. Today it is unbelievable how our girls are using the platform and opportunity of ambassadorship to break all barriers and be trailblazers in their communities. Congratulations D’Chaiya (ambassador from Antigua and Barbuda) for making us all so proud. I’m speechless ?????????? Wishing you all the luck in the world on this new journey, we all are with you!! #sowcodersfamily #sowcoders #ambassador

I did not cross that stage alone. With me crossed all of our 40,000 girls at Society Of Women Coders and generations of women before me who did not have the access or opportunity. At Harvard, I challenged myself every day to embrace the discomfort and rigor and show up for a better world. I learned everything from equity and mission-driven leadership , social impact, and scaling/financing my nonprofit at the Harvard Graduate School of Education to Social Entrepreneurship and Systems Change ( Mission,Margin,Mandate,Mindset), using Data for Impact and how to hustle (Field X) at the Harvard Business School. I don’t say this often but I’m truly proud of how far we have come in just a year. This past year, I was able to : - Raise funds for Society Of Women Coders through Social Impact Fellowship Fund at Harvard Innovation Labs and Education Entrepreneurship Fellowship at Harvard Graduate School of Education - Co- chair Harvard GSE Innovation & Ventures in Education (HIVE) to inspire, bring attention and work with Education entrepreneurs from all levels. - Get featured by Harvard Gazette and represent HGSE at the prestigious CORE breakfast - Get selected as semifinalists for President’s Innovation Challenge for Social Impact. - Get selected for Forbes 30 Under 30 Social Impact for North America 2024 - Get selected for the prestigious Phyllis Strimling award given at commencement to only one graduating student at HGSE. Special thanks to professors, mentors and classmates without whom none of this would have been possible. Special mention to Monica Higgins, Dr. Angela Jackson, Brian Trelstad , Eileen Rudden for your unwavering support during my time at Harvard. I have a Master’s Degree from Harvard University in Entrepreneurship, Education Leadership, and Organizations! #masters #education #Harvard

Meet five graduating i-lab founders from five different Harvard schools! Thank you for the feature Harvard Innovation Labs! Kavya Krishna “In this day and age, digital literacy is literacy...every day, I am privileged to learn from amazing people, interact with fellow leaders in the social impact world and benefit from the insights of (Harvard's) wonderful faculty. Mission-oriented leadership is more important than margin-oriented leadership. When I think about the company, I think about it as myself: mission-oriented. From this perspective, the company is just one platform." — Kavya Krishna, HGSE '24
