Another success story featuring Southworth Lift Tables! #SouthworthSolutions
PROJECT HIGHLIGHT: Assembly Conveyor System with Test Station and Repair Area ASSEMBLY: 700SB, MDR conveyors with custom transfers and Southworth lifts. Product gets assembled as it goes down the 700SB conveyor then transfer on to the onto a MDR conveyor where every unit transfer into the test area. QUALITY CONTROL: The unit then transfers into one of the three test areas. Product then will transfer out of test station once completed then will get scanned to see if the test passed. Once the product passes the required quality control tests; it gets transferred back to main line where it will transport to the end of line to Southworth lift. The unit will then be moved to pack out and once the unit is moving the lift will lower the pallet fixture to the return conveyor where it will go back to the beginning of the system. If the unit failed the test, it will be transfer into repair area for repair and will be scanned to see it passed before transferring back to the main line.

This week marks National Engineers Week in the United States. It's an opportunity to recognize the accomplishments of engineers, technicians, and technologists, as well as introduce K-12 students to the world of engineering and its disciplines. During this week, we'd like to acknowledge The Outliers Robotics Team, a community-driven group of Portland, Maine students in grades 8 to 12. The team is responsible for programming, building, and working in computer aided design (CAD) to create competition-ready robots. These passionate young minds are preparing to take their talents into the workforce as future developers, creators, and innovators! SIGI is a proud sponsor of The Outliers and a supporter of science, engineering, technology, and math (STEM) educational programs across our locations.

The tradition continues! Just as Portland, Maine, awakens each Valentine's Day to a city adorned with red hearts, so did SIGI headquarters in nearby Falmouth. This year, despite the passing of the original “Valentine's Day Bandit”, Kevin Fahrman, his heartwarming legacy of spreading love and kindness lives on. SIGI team members were also met with delicious treats from The Holy Donut in Portland, a sweet way to mark the day. Happy Valentine's Day!
