Southern AgCredit is excited to announce the promotion of Debbie Lutts to Cash Management Director. Debbie joined Southern AgCredit in 2006 as Assistant Controller and has been instrumental in supporting the Association’s growth and financial success. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and brings extensive experience to her new role. A native of Carthage, Mississippi, Lutts now resides in Flowood, Mississippi. Congrats, Debbie!

We’re excited to announce the promotion of Jody Blount to Relationship Manager at Southern AgCredit! Jody joined Southern AgCredit in August 2013 as a loan officer in the Newton Branch. Before joining the Association, he worked as a Farm Bureau Insurance agent in Newton County for five years. Jody and his wife, Lana, reside in Union with their two sons and daughter. Congratulations, Jody!

Join us in congratulating Elizabeth "Liz" Blake on her promotion to Financial Reporting Risk Manager at Southern AgCredit! Liz joined Southern AgCredit in 2017 as an accountant. She graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi, earning both her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Professional Accountancy degrees. Liz has 17 years of accounting and audit experience, 14 of which have been devoted to Farm Credit. She and her husband, Edd, reside in Brandon with their two daughters and son. Way to go, Liz!

Southern AgCredit’s Board Chairman, Scott Bell, has been elected Vice Chair of the Farm Credit Council (FCC) Board! This honor was announced at the FCC Annual Meeting in San Antonio on February 4. Scott has been a dedicated leader since joining the FCC Board in August 2022 and represents the Tenth District on the Executive Committee. Congratulations, Scott!

Southern AgCredit is pleased to announce the hiring of Mike Warren as a loan officer serving Simpson, Covington, Smith and Jeff Davis counties in Mississippi. Mike earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Millsaps College.?He began his career in mortgage banking with Magnolia Federal in Jackson and later served as vice president and branch manager at Citizens State Bank in Mendenhall. Most recently, he retired from a career in pharmaceutical sales. Originally from Mendenhall, he resides in Ridgeland with his wife, Linda.?They have three children.

Southern AgCredit is proud to announce the promotion of Hunter Barlow to Vice President of Commercial Lending. Hunter graduated from Mississippi State University in 2008 with a degree in accounting and earned his MBA in 2009. Before joining Southern AgCredit in 2014, he worked for a local public accounting firm and earned his CPA license. He lives in Madison with his wife, Liz, and their three children. Congrats, Hunter!

Please join us in welcoming Harley Matthews to Southern AgCredit! Harley joins us as a relationship manager in our Greenwood branch office. A Winona, Mississippi native and Mississippi State University graduate, he brings 12 years of Farm Credit experience to his new role with the Association. Harley and his wife, Blair, are the proud parents of two sons.

Southern AgCredit recently hired Katy Bridges as a loan administrator in its Greenwood branch office. Katy holds a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Mississippi College. She began her banking career at Community Bank where she served as head teller for the past three years. She and her husband, Josh, recently moved to Itta Bena to live on her family's farm.
