Townhome projects like this #Charlotte one are becoming increasingly common across the South. While 3.5-story luxury row houses are not regionally native, they provide relatively upmarket housing at remarkable densities. Some do not like the lack of communal greenspace, though their roof decks can create a "courtyards in the sky" feel. What do you think? SITEPLAN SATURDAY | Southern Village in Chapel Hill. Developed in the 1990s in a traditional, small-town style, @SouthernVillage surrounds a central green, which hosts a summer farmers’ market and concerts. Pizza and burger eateries, frozen dessert spots, and an organic grocery fill nostalgic-looking storefronts on Market Street. The Lumina Theater screens family-friendly and indie movies, and nearby Southern Community Park has trails and a disc golf course. ― The Congress for the New Urbanism
