The Premier Property Claims Organization for the Southeastern USA

关于我们

Founded in 1957, the Southern Loss Association is one of the largest claim organizations in the country devoted to the education of property adjusters. Our purpose is to serve as a forum for the discussion, study, and consideration of loss adjustment problems, coverage questions, policy forms, laws, and statutes common to all insurance companies. If you are in the insurance business and looking for a supportive and knowledgeable group in the Property field, look no further! We provide networking opportunities and host monthly and annual events for you to create memories with other claims professionals. In addition to our annual seminar, many of the luncheons provide continuing education credits. Check out our website or contact a member to get involved with our next luncheon or event!

  • President's Message What a great lunch and presentation last month by Fred Campagna of Haag Global discussing benefits of forensic weather capabilities. I was personally amazed at the metadata that was built into the digital photos when submitted. Well, January 2025 has been a cold one and plenty of us are seeing the claims come in from the heavy rains, snow, and high winds. Seeing the snow-covered beaches in the Gulf was amazing as who would have thought 9” of snow in Pensacola, Florida could happen. This month we have a great speaker planned with Scott Beaudry of Trinity Engineering presenting his 1-hour version of his 3 hour “Repairability” course. We hope this course will assist one of the big challenges we face when scoping out roof repair versus replacement. We want to remind everyone to not forget to renew your membership, so you stay well informed of all the activities we have upcoming in 2025 at Southern Loss Association. You can renew your membership using the link above and invite your friends and associates to apply for membership by forwarding this email to them and clicking on this link: Membership application. Let’s not forget the celebration this month for the Martyrdom of Saint Valentinus. Please make sure to take time to celebrate with your significant other, for all they do with putting up with our crazy unpredictable schedules and long hours we put in at work. Sincerely, Adrian Medley President

  • ??***President’s Message***?? Happy New Year, Southern Loss Association Members! I am both excited and honored to serve as your President for 2025. I’d like to start by extending my deepest gratitude to Brooke Hill for her outstanding leadership as President in 2024. Her dedication helped make last year a tremendous success, allowing us to award numerous scholarships to students and support charitable causes. I also want to express my sincere thanks to all the members who have agreed to serve on the Board for 2025. Your support and collaboration are invaluable, and I couldn’t do this without your assistance. Additionally, a sincere thank you goes out to our sponsors, whose generosity enables us to host educational classes each month and support our events throughout the year. We have an exciting year ahead, with a fantastic lineup of speakers planned for our monthly meetings. Before we know it, spring will be here, bringing with the first of our 2 first golf outings something we all look forward. As we begin this new year, many of us take time to reflect on our achievements from the past year and set goals for improvement in 2025. Whether we found ourselves “meeting standards,” “exceeding standards,” or achieving the coveted “Elite” status, there is always room for growth. Striving for “Elite” status in our field requires commitment to education, training, and, of course, hands-on experience. While Southern Loss Association can’t provide direct experience, we can, with the support of our sponsors, offer exceptional educational and training opportunities to help our members excel. Reflecting on 2024, many of our members gained invaluable experience responding to widespread storm activity across the country. They were able to help in providing claims assistance to areas in need where storms left many of homeowners in states of disrepair from the storms that swept through America. Some are still helping our neighbors in NC, SC, TN, and some here also in GA. Your dedication to your profession and your willingness to step up during difficult times is truly commendable. Looking ahead, I am eager to work alongside our Board to make 2025 another stellar year for the Southern Loss Association. My goals include growing our membership, enhancing our educational offerings, and fostering greater opportunities for fellowship among members. Thank you all for your continued support and dedication to our association. Together, we can make 2025 a year to remember! Sincerely, Adrian Medley President
