November is Prematurity Awareness Month. Premature birth is when a baby is born too soon, before 37 weeks of pregnancy. About 1 in 10 babies are born prematurely each year in the United States. Prematurity and its complications are the largest contributor to infant death in the US and globally. SIHF Healthcare Healthy Start program is designed to help decrease the rate of infant and maternal mortality through support, connections to services before, during, and after pregnancy, one on one Case Management, and free prenatal and parenting education classes.
