Yesterday, we sent home one of our first micro-preemies, born at Southern Hills Hospital & Medical Center, since receiving our Level III NICU designation! There were tears and hugs as mom and baby Treuce walked out together for the first time in 114 days! At 24 weeks, Treuce entered this world weighing only 1lb 8oz. Today, he stands at 5 lbs 15oz, a testament to the power of our NICU's care. He is a happy, healthy, and sweet little boy, and proof of the hope and miracles we encounter daily.

We have the best team! They work so hard for our patients and community and deserve to be recognized daily! We had a visit from the In-N-Out truck dishing up fresh burgers for our incredible colleagues!

Several Sunrise Health FSEDs were included in this exercise, including ER at Las Vegas Blvd, ER at the Lakes, ER at Aliante, and ER at Skye Canyon. Clark County’s Office of Emergency Management organized these drills with the Southern Nevada Health District and area hospitals to test the Hospital Area Command system in the event of a mass casualty incident. This critical training exercise enhances emergency response preparedness in collaboration with key regional agencies.

Today we observe the seventh anniversary of the 1 October shooting in Las Vegas. We remember the 58 lives lost that night, hundreds wounded and those who died from their injuries in the years that followed. On this anniversary, we acknowledge the strength and resilience of our community. We also honor and recognize those who were able to save lives. We stand with you. We are forever Vegas Strong.

This week, we celebrated the grand opening of ER at Desert's Edge with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. This day marks a significant milestone in our journey towards providing unparalleled healthcare for the communities of Mountain's Edge and Enterprise. This facility is more than just an emergency room—it symbolizes our commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care close to home. Taking care of a community of patients takes a village. Our team members hold responsibilities ranging from direct patient care and support to the maintenance of our building and the care environment itself. Our team participated in HCA Healthcare's national 'Walk in Your World.' This event is a testament to the unity and collaboration within our organization. Leaders spent the morning working side-by-side with hospital care teams, gaining a deeper understanding of the patient experience and the daily challenges they face. All participants were honored to witness the quality, compassionate care our teams provide daily to our patients and their families.
