At SEM, I work to improve energy efficiency in multifamily housing, helping create sustainable, cost-effective solutions for residents and property owners. What I love most about working in construction is knowing that my work contributes to a smarter, greener future. There’s something incredibly rewarding about seeing the direct impact of energy-conscious choices on both the environment and people’s lives.?? ? This year’s Women in Construction Week theme is "Together We Rise." What does that mean to you? ??? ? To me, "Together We Rise" is about breaking barriers and lifting each other up in an industry that thrives on collaboration. Women in construction are proving every day that knowledge, skill, and determination are just as vital as steel and concrete. When we support one another, we don’t just rise—we build a stronger, more inclusive future. ? Fun Fact about Jackie ?? ? A cool fun fact about me is, I can spot energy inefficiencies like a detective at a crime scene—bad insulation, outdated lighting, you name it! It’s both a talent and an occupational hazard.
