Sound Image was thrilled to be part of the Asian Art Museum’s annual gala, celebrating its Hallyu! The Korean Wave programming. In collaboration with the museum and?Silvia Morita-Patel, we helped bring Korean pop culture to life for the evening. We created a combination of decorative lighting designs, featuring a custom acrylic ribbon chandelier in the main tent and tailored neon gobos in the north court. Additional lighting elements were added for the exterior, lobby, loggia, and south court. An audio package was provided for the main tent to support the gala’s presentations and a performance by Korean artist?Roy Kim. Learn more about the Hallyu! The Korean Wave?Asian Art Museum. We’re excited to join Clair Global at the Rock Nashville campus in 2025.
Today, we’re reflecting on the rich history of our Nashville offices as we gear up to combine our Clair Global and Sound Image?Nashville offices and join the Rock Nashville campus in 2025. Clair Global’s Nashville office was established in 1997 when Clair (then Clair Bros.) acquired Nashville-based sound company, MD Systems. MD Systems (“MD” stands for “modular design”) was founded by John McBride in Wichita, KS in 1979. In 1990, McBride moved his company to Nashville to better serve his clients, which included up-and-comer Garth Brooks.? ? Like Clair, MD Systems manufactured their own equipment, including the T2 loudspeaker. McBride, who now owns and operates Blackbird Studio and the Blackbird Academy, says he was certain from the first moment that Clair was the company he wanted to work with. “I just always loved the consistency [of Clair], the quality of people that work there…they’re great.”? ? Sound Image first arrived in Nashville in 1989, shortly before McBride. At the time, country artist Barbara Mandrell was a big account and may have personally encouraged the move. In March of 1993, Everett Lybolt assumed his current role as GM. He found their current offices at Cockrill Bend Blvd, which has been their home since 2006.? ? We are proud to be part of the Nashville music community, while also serving national and international clients. Our endeavors in Music City reinforce our heritage of supporting new artists alongside established stars, as we strive to honor each client with our decades of experience and expertise.?? ? While our Nashville shops have served us well over the years, we're thrilled for what lies ahead in 2025 as we join fellow live entertainment industry vendors at the newly announced Rock Nashville? campus.? ?? 1: MD hanging T2 loudspeakers 2: Clair Nashville office, circa 1997 3: Sound Image Nashville office, 2016 4: S4 Room (rehearsal space) at Clair Nashville 5: Sound Image crew at CMA Fest 2015
