This week is all about celebrating accomplishments and associates. Today, we honor Veterans across the nation and within our company and are proud to spotlight Waco P&D Driver Marlon Powell. Hailing from Macon, GA, Marlon entered the Army in 1993 and excelled, earning the MOS of 31D Line of Sight Operator. His distinguished career spanned 9 duty stations worldwide, including Korea, Europe, and Hawaii, with 6 combat tours in Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Marlon's decorations include: ? Bronze Star (3x) ? Meritorious Service Award (3x) ? Army Commendation Award (6x) ? Army Achievement Award (5x) ? Signal Corps Bronze Order of Mercury Promoted to Sergeant Major due to professionalism and leadership, he retired from Fort Hood in 2018 after 25 years of service. Marlon joined Southeastern Freight Lines the same year, thanks to a recommendation from fellow driver Lorenzo Scales. "My experience at Southeastern has been outstanding. The company truly cares for its associates and customers," Marlon says. When he's not behind the wheel, you'll find him riding his Harley, landscaping, watching sports, or on the golf course!
