Last Thursday night, we scored big time! KAIJU! Beer took home the trophy for Champion Medium Australian Brewery at the Australian International Beer Awards (AIBAs), one of the world’s top beer competitions. This epic win is a huge milestone for us and shows how dedicated we’ve been to brewing top-notch beers over the past decade. We’ve been close before, always taking feedback to heart and aiming for excellence. But this time, we nailed it, and we couldn’t be more stoked! This win is all about our legendary team. Hats off to our production crew – Matt John, Graeme Wootton, Matt Inchley, Hugh Irwin (erstwhile), Liam Lysaght, Tom Spence, and Nat Reeves – who’ve been smashing it to brew the best beer out there. And a special shout-out to Kat Howes, our newest team member who's already making waves. Our sales and admin legends also deserve a massive thank you: Caz McMaster, Maree Eims, Ash Henderson, Don Russell, Ross Ryan, Brendan Windle, Shayne Adam, Matthew Binns, Chloe Hoiberg, and until recently, Fiona Lane and Lei-Lani Terrell. And let’s not forget our hospitality heroes at KAIJU! Beer & Pizza, led by Ryan Wheatland, Jay Jafari, and Gabe Lyons, who bring the passion and dedication every day. We’re also incredibly grateful to the brewing industry, our suppliers, and our awesome customers. Your support and advice have been invaluable. While this trophy is a killer achievement, it’s just the beginning. We’re going to keep innovating and pushing the boundaries of quality, working alongside our industry mates and the amazing people who make this journey worthwhile.
