关于我们
Empowering innovation through strategic mentorship, tailored resources, world-class education and collaborative partnerships, the Southeast Regional Center for Entrepreneurship (SRCE) is dedicated to catalyzing the growth of entrepreneurial business ventures, fostering a culture of creativity and inclusion, creating generational wealth, and driving positive impact in the ever-evolving landscape of entrepreneurship. The Southeast Regional Center for Entrepreneurship (SRCE) is a proud part of the Howard University x PNC Foundation’s National Center for Entrepreneurship. The SRCE represents and works with 28 HBCUs in Georgia, Florida, Alabama and the U.S. Virgin Islands to essentially connect entrepreneurial centers, academic programs, business owners, and governmental entrepreneurial stakeholders, to empower entrepreneurs throughout our region. Located within the historic School of Business at Clark Atlanta University, it is SRCE’s goal to educate, inform, assist, and empower Black entrepreneurs in the entrepreneurial ecosystem through research, technology, programming, strategic partnerships and fundraising. We are elated to be working with the local and regional representatives of the PNC Foundation, who have given much more than financial support in our quest for equity and access for Black entrepreneurs.

Black women athletes are not just breaking records — they’re also breaking barriers in business. Trailblazers like Serena Williams and Allyson Felix have turned their athletic success into business success, proving that excellence doesn’t stop at the finish line. Tennis legend Serena Williams has made her mark as a venture capitalist, investing in companies that drive innovation and equity. Allyson Felix, the most decorated female track athlete in Olympic history, founded Saysh, a sneaker brand designed for women, by women. Their journeys highlight the power of vision and reinvention. Yet, their success also underscores a harsh reality: Black women face significant hurdles in business. Despite being the fastest-growing group of entrepreneurs in the U.S., Black women receive less than 1% of venture capital funding. Limited access to capital, systemic inequities, and fewer networking opportunities remain steep challenges. Organizations like Black Girl Ventures and the NAACP Empowerment Programs are stepping in to change this narrative, providing funding, mentorship and resources to Black women entrepreneurs. These efforts are aimed at supporting individuals, closing the #racialwealthgap and creating generational prosperity for the Black community. As we celebrate the achievements of these extraordinary women, let’s also commit to building an ecosystem where every entrepreneur has the tools they need to succeed.
