Pierre-Fort Pierre Bridge Project Update: During the past two weeks, the crew has been hard at work deconstructing the existing bridge deck and hauling away deck panels. In fact, the team is quickly approaching the half-way point! At the same time, crews are also working on building up the medians between the eastbound and westbound lanes on both sides of the new bridge. In Fort Pierre, work is focused on installing median curbs near Island Drive, with two more concrete placements planned to finish the curb work. The team is preparing to place the turning lane into Island Drive, which will reopen once that is completed in early December. Find more information about this project at: https://lnkd.in/ev95NZ7M

Grading work on S.D. Highway 15, south of Clear Lake to S.D. Highway 28, has been completed and will be fully reopened to through traffic by Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024. Motorists should be aware that a portion of the project roadway is a treated temporary gravel surface and extra care will be needed when driving due to possible loose gravel. A lower posted speed of 45 mph will be in place through the gravel section. Final clean-up work on Highway 15 will be completed as weather allows in the coming weeks. Permanent asphalt paving for the project is scheduled for 2025. #SDDOT #SD511
