“He constantly threatened me that he would send me back to [my home country]” As part of our #16CaseStudiesFor16DaysOfActivism, we share with you Q’s account of the weaponisation of her immigration status by the perpetrator and her horrific experience of being abandoned abroad. Victim-survivors such as Q require specialist, wraparound support, which ‘by and for’ organisations with frontline presence such as SBS provide. To safeguard other Black, minoritised and migrant victim-survivors, many of whom experience the kind of abuse Q did, we also campaign for reform.

Our Director Selma Taha spoke to The Guardian about the significance of Badenoch's election. Questioning whether representation alone is a win, she raised concerns about the implications of Tory leadership's harmful rhetoric on the communities we're from and support.
