Earlier today, attendees to The Ohio State University's College of Education and Human Ecology Symposium heard from staff members Emily Bricker (Beulah Park Middle School), Josh Doran (District Tech Liasion), and Phil Freeman (Grove City High School) presented two sessions under the umbrella of EdVolution: Transforming Education with Digital Innovation. Event participants hears from these tech leaders about coding with Spheros and Drones as well as how to bring coding to life in the classroom!

Congratulations to two of our incredible SWCSD math coaches, Rachael Shimoloens and Adrie Rodenburgh, who recently presented on the national stage at the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics (NCSM), alongside some of the biggest names in math education and leadership! In their session, titled "Navigating the Terrain as a Coaching Specialist: A Field Guide",?they showcased their coaching framework built around the trifecta of luminosity, synergy, and zest, reaching over 33,000 students nationwide through their impactful strategies. What a day across “the smallest, big-place you can find” as we hosted incoming 7th and 9th graders for orientation days. Students learned how to navigate the halls of their new buildings with smaller class sizes, 7th graders practiced combination locks, and 9th graders were chaperoned by peer mentors in the higher grades. 2024-2025 is well underway! ????????
