We were honored to welcome the House Committee on Natural Resources to Louisiana's #BayouRegion, including Louisiana Congressman Garret Graves where he hosted an insightful oversight hearing titled “Rigs to Restoration: Examining Gulf Coast Restoration through Energy Production and Permitting”. The hearing was held at Nicholls State University and focused on Louisiana’s coastal restoration efforts, the challenges encountered during the permitting process, and the relationship between energy production and environmental protection.

SLEC is excited by bp’s announcement today as it demonstrates the continued confidence of offshore operators to produce #AmericanEnergy in the Gulf of Mexico. The #BayouRegion is the hub for offshore energy production and offshore investments like bp’s mean more jobs and revenue for critical community services, coastal restoration, and infrastructure projects.
