Congratulations to our Executive Director, Sean Prospect, on being honored as part of the Florida Panthers' “Celebration of Black Excellence.” On February 8, 2025, Sean and other honorees joined the Panthers organization leaders and players for a special evening dedicated to recognizing the honorees' hard work, dedication, and leadership in our community. The Stanley Cup Champions, and the Florida Panthers, have hosted this exceptional program for four years, which holds great significance for the organization. We partnered with?Boman Ashe Doolin K-8 Academy on a community-driven garden rehabilitation initiative. Our volunteers and students worked together to assemble and unpack raised garden beds, prepare necessary materials, and restore the school's garden. A dedicated group of students and staff cleared debris and tidied up the garden space, making it ready for planting. Then everyone worked together to fill the newly constructed garden beds with fresh soil, marking a significant milestone in revitalizing the school's green space. Following a productive day, we gathered in the school's cafeteria to enjoy pizza and refreshments provided by the volunteers. What a fun day of hands-on learning to promote the importance of healthy eating as well as having our kids develop a connection to nature and our community.

We are thrilled to welcome back Julie Todaro to our team as Director of Development. With her extensive experience in fundraising, marketing, and event management, she will be a great asset in driving our growth. We're so happy to have your energy and leadership back on the team!

At After-School All-Stars, we come along side families, schools and students to help these students achieve success in school and in life.?There are many young people who don't have access to opportunities because of the neighborhoods they live in or economic status. We strive to provide access for all kids we serve to be able to learn and grow, whether it be arts, technology programs, workforce development, culinary, graduating high school, college admission and more.?What we want for our All-Stars is the same any parent would want for their own kids, to be safe and healthy, graduate high school and continue their education, find a career the love and give back to their communities. It is #spirit ??week at our High School Summer Camp, and I, for one, could not have been more excited for all of the students and frankly, ME TOO! Spirit week was something that I looked forward and was happy ?? to see it in play for our high school students. Day one was the "Color War"??....Who would have thought that Spirit Week could be so much fun? We did!?
