For 40 years, South Central Family Health Center (SCFHC) has played a major role in filling the void for comprehensive health services in the historically underserved and uninsured population of South Los Angeles. The services provided directly address healthcare issues prevalent among geographically and economically disadvantaged individuals and families. Since its inception, SCFHC has been in the forefront committed to addressing healthcare disparities in a competent and linguistically appropriate manner. SCFHC has more than 230 staff members of which 30 are clinicians who provide the direct medical services, treatment and care to patients. In 2002, SCFHC was designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) 330 Clinic. Such qualifications require adhering to strict Government standards of providing quality comprehensive service delivery and detailed reporting directly to the Federal Government. We have expanded service locations to the city of Huntington Park, Cudahy and opened a school based health centers at Jefferson High School (L.A.) and at the Elizabeth Learning Center (Cudahy) as well as improved our clinics to better serve our patients’ needs. We want to provide quality healthcare to you and your family and we are striving to do the best we can to make your experience a pleasurable one. SCFHC takes great pride in its leadership role as a community clinic and feels very fortunate to have talented Clinicians, Administrators, and a committed and visionary Board of Directors all working together for our patients. Collectively, we will set SCFHC on a path of continued growth and expansion by reinforcing our mission to provide high-quality primary care and education services to the residents in South Los Angeles and Southeast Los Angeles County and beyond.

For over two decades, our Annual Holiday Toy Giveaway has provided much-needed support to our patients, helping to foster healing, education, and empowerment. This year, we expanded to four events, welcoming over 1,000 attendees to our clinic sites. We were deeply honored to receive a Certificate of Congressional Recognition from the Office of Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove, celebrating SCFHC’s dedication to the community. Our Annual Holiday Toy Giveaway is more than just toys—it’s a demonstration of our commitment to the well-being of our patients, showing them that care extends far beyond the clinical setting.   • ? SCFHC CEO Honored with Resolution by Los Angeles City Council?? South Central Family Health Center (SCFHC) is pleased to announce that its Chief Executive Officer, Genevieve Filmardirossian, was honored with a resolution by the Los Angeles City Council, presented by Councilman Curren D. Price, Jr. This recognition highlights Ms. Filmardirossian’s exemplary leadership and dedication to improving healthcare access and equity for underserved communities across South Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Valley. With over 25 years of experience in healthcare nonprofit leadership, Ms. Filmardirossian has significantly transformed SCFHC. Under her guidance, the organization now serves nearly 30,000 patients annually through 10 health center sites and a mobile unit. SCFHC also employs a workforce of over 300 individuals, with more than 50% of employees hired directly from the neighborhoods it serves—demonstrating a commitment to being a proud community workforce engine and an employer of choice. Councilman Curren D. Price, Jr.’s resolution recognizes Ms. Filmardirossian’s steadfast commitment to advocating for low-income, uninsured, and marginalized patients at the local, state, and federal levels. Her leadership has propelled SCFHC to be not only a trusted healthcare provider but also a center for operational excellence and cultural transformation. This recognition highlights SCFHC’s ongoing mission to improve health outcomes and quality of life for the communities it serves. Under Ms. Filmardirossian’s leadership, SCFHC remains committed to growth, innovation, and advocacy to ensure every individual has access to compassionate and comprehensive healthcare.
