Our mission is to improve effectiveness and profitability of the retail industry in the Palmetto state.
关于我们
The South Carolina Retail Association (SCRA) is a trade organization whose mission is to improve the public image, effectiveness and profitability of the retail industry in the Palmetto state. We represent a variety of merchants in every county, both large and small, and make it our priority to give them all a voice in Columbia. A tax-exempt organization supported entirely by members’ dues, the association is governed by a 13-member board of directors who represent retail entities as diverse as apparel, department, electronics, grocery and pharmacy stores. General Information The SCRA lobby team strives to serve as an effective liaison between legislators and the merchants in their home districts. We encourage South Carolina lawmakers to contact us with relevant industry questions so that we may provide the store operations perspective. SCRA is proud to work with Feeding the Carolinas food banks & had the privilege of presenting $100,000+ worth of items & financial contributions to them earlier this week for SC Food Drive Day! Thank you Gov. Henry McMaster and Rep. Russell Ott for your support in raising awareness of this issue! More than 500,000 South Carolinians face food insecurity each year. If you are able, please consider donating time, food or personal items, or money to your local food bank. In addition to CFIC’s $50,000 annual contribution to the Feeding the Carolinas network, we also host a legislative food drive, alternating between Columbia and Raleigh. This year, the Carolinas Food Industry Council (CFIC)—through its partnership with the South Carolina Retail Association—will host its annual food drive and press conference on March 5th, 2024. The food drive supports Feeding the Carolinas and Harvest Hope Food Bank. If your company is interested in supporting the food drive by making a monetary or in-kind donation, please email Caroline Daly at [email protected].?

A subcommittee of the House Judiciary committee took an important first step toward modernizing South Carolina's alcohol laws and increasing consumer choice last week! Let's keep the momentum going to bring South Carolina into the large and growing group of states allowing safe home delivery and curbside pickup of alcohol. Home, curbside SC alcohol delivery could be approved in 2024 | The State https://lnkd.in/eArTc6px
