SCMA partnered with Clemson University, Limestone University, and Cape Endeavors to host a seminar today about meeting compliance with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) standards. #CMMC is essential for businesses working directly or indirectly with the Department of Defense - with the possibility of this requirement extending to the entire federal government in the next few years. We communicate with and educate South Carolina state and local officials and the general public on issues of importance to manufacturing industries. We emphasize that by maintaining strong manufacturing industries in the state, South Carolina’s economy will also remain strong. In order to accomplish these goals SCMA fosters member and staff involvement in monitoring issues, formulating positions, and informing the manufacturing industries of government-related matters. In addition, we focus on increasing manufacturing industry membership.
