Another trial in the books! We completed another successful trial of Nevro’s HFX Trial System with Dr. Paul Smucker, available with the HFX App in a patient struggling with low back pain. Using the HFX App during a trial increases the likelihood of patients receiving an SCS implant since real-time patient and device insights enable remote troubleshooting and optimization of programming. Congratulations Dr. Jeff Yergler for implanting the first 30mm PIQ stem in Indiana (and being one of the first few in the country). ?? ?? Last week, SBO physicians, Sam Fuller, MD, & Dr. Christopher Balint, hosted SBO's first Cadaver Lab of 2025. We had an insightful session that delved into the complexities of shoulder, elbow, and hand & wrist injuries—providing valuable hands-on learning for everyone in the Workers' Compensation community. The cadaver lab allowed us to explore real-world cases and get an up-close look at the anatomy, surgical techniques, and the latest treatment options for these common, yet complex, workplace injuries. From understanding the nuances of rotator cuff tears to identifying critical hand fractures and wrist sprains, the collaborative environment fostered a deeper understanding of the treatment path from injury to recovery. A special thank you to the surgeons who led the lab and shared their expertise in treating these challenging conditions.
