??Fascinating discussion this afternoon with our VP Retail Sales, Ben Tomkins, Angela Santos and Lauren Parker on the panel; Traceability Under Pressure: Compliance Risks when Transforming Supply Chains. Our 3 Key takeaways: ?? Simply divesting out of certain sourcing regions does not eliminate risk. Transshipments out of prohibited regions and into non-prohibited regions are on the rise, business leaders must know the entirety of their supply chains right from the origin to the finished product. ?? Certifications and documentation are not sufficient alone. Brands and manufacturers must verify this information, preferably with forensic science to ensure compliance. ??When building compliance and traceability strategies, ensure you have a global plan. The regulatory environment is evolving globally, to keep up, it is essential to consider each operating environment. The cost of noncompliance (fines, reputation damage, missed seasons etc.) is far greater than the cost of proactivity. Keep an eye out for an in-depth overview of the Sourcing Journal Fall Summit in the coming weeks. #oritain #sjfallsummit #sourcingjournal #transshipment #originverification
