In this week's newsletter, we’re highlighting a few stories that resonated with us. Our first two stories came out of SXSW: one on how a handful of brands made lemons out of lemonade, and another revealing some key tech and PR insights from Austin. Lastly, we take a peek at how the new tariffs launched by the Trump Administration will likely impact marketers. Hint hint…they will…significantly. #newsletter #sxsw #marketing #tariffs

关于我们
The idea for SourceCode came about in 2017, written on the back of a napkin, over a drink or two (ok… definitely two) in a dingy bar in downtown San Francisco after tech PR industry veterans Greg Mondshein and Rebecca (Becky) Honeyman felt it was their time to do things a bit differently. Setting out to fix what they felt was broken in tech PR, the pair launched SourceCode with the mission of evolving public relations and marketing communications by bringing together data and insights, creative thinking, and a healthy dose of humanity. SourceCode has continued to rise the ranks, earning the agency a reputation for executing creative, needle-moving client campaigns and being one of the PR industry’s best places to work – accolades that have earned the agency more than 50 awards to date. In 2022, SourceCode officially expanded its service offerings to encompass creative and digital capabilities, solidifying the agency as a fully integrated partner for its growing roster of clients. In 2023, SourceCode opened its doors in London, marking its first official step toward global expansion. Beyond its client work, SourceCode is committed to inspiring and enabling brands, communities, and individuals to grow and change the world, building a brighter, bolder future for us all. The agency invests significantly to champion equity, social justice, and sustainable, environmentally-friendly growth, infusing our work and relationships with empathy and real human understanding. This commitment includes the operation of the Diversity Marketing Consortium, a NYS 501c3 organization that provides pro bono marketing services to diverse and underrepresented startup founders, being a member of the Clean Creatives, and achieving B-Corp certification. As SourceCode enters its next phase of growth, our mission remains to keep humanity at the center of everything we do and advise clients no matter what technological changes the future may bring.

For March, we’re celebrating Women’s History Month by spotlighting women who were more than just the wives of famous men, they were changemakers in their own right. Today, we honor Rachel Robinson, a civil rights advocate, nurse, educator, and force for equality. While she is often recognized as the wife of baseball legend Jackie Robinson, Rachel built her own legacy as a champion for racial justice and education. She earned a nursing degree from UCLA and later a master’s in psychiatric nursing from NYU, dedicating her career to mental health and social justice. After Jackie’s passing in 1972, she founded the Jackie Robinson Foundation, which has provided millions in scholarships and leadership opportunities for minority students. Her work has earned her numerous accolades, including the Candace Award for Distinguished Service and the UCLA Medal. At 102, Rachel Robinson’s legacy continues to inspire generations. #WomenWhoLead #WHM #WomensHistoryMonth

For March, we’re celebrating Women’s History Month by spotlighting women who were more than just the wives of famous men, they were changemakers in their own right. Today, we’re recognizing Lillian Disney, an artist and philanthropist who played a crucial role in shaping the Disney legacy. As an early ink artist at the Disney Studio, she had a hand in bringing animated magic to life. She is also credited with renaming Walt’s most iconic character from Mortimer to Mickey. This was a decision that helped define a cultural icon. Beyond her artistic contributions, Lillian dedicated her life to philanthropy, supporting arts, education, and human services through the Walt and Lillian Disney Foundation. Her influence extended far beyond animation, leaving a lasting impact on communities and creative industries alike. #WomenWhoLead #WHM #WomensHistoryMonth
